We have different suggestions when it comes to firmness with Tristan.

The 18cm size can be easily used in every firmness, take soft if you have made negative experience with poking tips during vaginal use though.
With the 38cm one the firm version is easier to handle, especially if you use a suction cup or vac-u-lock adapter with it. The soft version is very comfortable, but also very floppy. Not a big deal in partnerplay, but handling it solo can be difficult.

And just as a side note: Using multiple at once works great if you take firm ones. ( •̀ ω •́ )
